We, here at Tulsage.com, want to hear stories from our Veterans! Here is a sampling:
It is a very simple project from Oklahoma American Veterans News that anyone can help with–Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, high school community service hours, Church groups, Journalism students or other aspiring writers, even kids wanting to do something for the summer. All you need to do is visit with the person to get a story they’d like to share. They are out there. Check with Assisted living or nursing homes if you don’t know one. But don’t stop there–Veterans can be young or old, male or female.
They have made a sacrifice and we would like to honor them this way.
We’d like to have the Veterans:
- City they were from
- Service affiliation
- What war and the year(s) served.
- The Veteran does not have to be from Oklahoma.
Post the stories below in the comments.
Additionally, if you are a Veteran then share your story. Maybe you are someone who has a deceased family member who served in the war and they wrote or recorded their story for you.
Be sure to let us know who submitted it, so you receive credit.
