A strange title with a great story!!!
Who Moved My Cheese? 94 simple, yet powerful pages of realizing the importance of dealing with change head on, even when it makes us nervous and uncomfortable.
How the mice handle a diminished cheese supply (success, money, happiness, material things, etc) makes one analyze their own behavior when it comes to change.
- Sniff, aware of his surroundings, is prepared in case change happens.
- Scurry may not be as prepared but immediately embraces change.
- Hem doesn’t like change preferring to remain in his comfort zone.
- Haw first reluctant to change eventually overcomes his fear and embraces change.
Many of us are like both Haw and Scurry: reluctant to change at first and fear cripples us, but once we get over the fear we run full force.
“Life is no straight and easy corridor along which we travel free and unhampered, but a maze of passages, through which we must seek our way, lost and confused, now and again checked in a blind alley. But always, if we have faith a door will open for us, not perhaps one that we ourselves would ever have thought of, but one that will ultimately prove good for us.” –A.J. Cronin
