Trash, Junk and Debris in Yard

Trash in a neighborhood can reduce area property values by 14.5%, according to studies.

Trash, junk and debris cannot be left in the yard and must be disposed of properly:  Accumulated or blowing trash: manure, rubbish, litter, rubble, refuse, debris, paper, cardboard, plastics, combustible materials, offal or waste, matter of any kind or form which is uncared for, discarded, or abandoned , including improperly stacked building materials or other waste material from construction, remodeling or repair of building (as they become potential breeding places for flies, mosquitoes and vermin).  Any equipment, materials, or furnishings that would ordinarily not be used outdoors may not be stored outdoors. For example, you may not keep indoor furniture, household appliances or auto parts outside.   Also included is junk such as auto parts, tires, items outside the home what would ordinarily not be used outdoors: appliances, indoor  & debris such as tree trimmings & limbs.

A written notice to be served upon the person or entity who maintains, operates or permits a nuisance. Written notice shall be given to the owner* of the property  ordering the property owner to abate the nuisance and shall further state that unless such abatement is performed within ten (10) business days of the date on the notice, the work shall be done by the City of Tulsa and a notice of lien shall be filed with the County Clerk against the property for the costs due and owing the City of Tulsa.  (*the owner as shown by the most current tax rolls.)  ABATEMENT
