  • Delta Airlines: While offering senior discounts on certain itineraries, they aren’t available online. Call 1-800-221-1212 to check eligibility. While senior fares may sometimes cost more than the airline’s online-only specials, the cost is rarely more than a few dollars and there are advantages. Senior fares may not be as restrictive as other fares, can be used for last-minute travel deals and are refundable if you have to cancel your flight. If you are flexible about when you fly or you have missed out on the internet special fares, senior fares may be your best option. In some cases, you will have to call the airline to determine the exact discount for your flight. For that reason, it’s good idea to first research the lowest fare you can get online before picking up the phone. That way, you have something to compare the senior discount fare against.
  • Denny’s Restaurants – Most have a discounted menu for seniors 55 and older (for reduced portion size). Some locations may also provide a 10% discount off regularly priced items and/or provide a value card that will entitle the holder to a free meal after a certain amount of visits.  10% off, 20% off for AARP members (55+) :20% off the entire check from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for AARP members at participating locations   Birthday sign up

  • Dollar Tree sales ad (now accepting manufacturers coupons!) Take customer satisfaction survey on back of ad to have a chance at $1,500.00    (Favorite purchases are paper and plastic goods, cleaning products, party supplies, storage items, and toiletries.) Shhhh! Check here for deals she found. Don’t forget to check out the fresh Nature’s Own bread that is delivered twice weekly.

  • DoubleTree  Ages 65+ are eligible for the senior rate. Can even use it to book a second room for family.
  • Dress Barn gives 10% on Tuesdays for those 55+ but cannot combine with any coupons.

  • Drysdales– Sign up to get e-mails when they have specials.
  • DSW Shoes        Sign up to get birthday gift certificate
  • Duckwall-ALCO ad with coupons. Stores provide a 15% discount on all items every Tuesday to customers 62 years of age and older.
  • Dunkin’ Donuts most locations offer a senior discount, usually in the form of a coffee or a percentage off the purchase. Please Inquire at a local store. Participation,
    requirements, and discount amounts vary for each store. Normally age 55+. Free doughnut with the purchase of a large or extra-large hot coffee for AARP members (Note that the receipts have a survey and you get a FREE donut with the purchase of a medium beverage.)

  • Econo Lodge : 20%-30% off (60+) Ask at the desk and then use your cell phone  to call the reservation line to see what they will give for an “advanced reservation”. If you have AARP or work for a corporation ask what the corporate rate is. Econo Lodge: An economy hotel that gets even cheaper for AARP members or anyone 60 years or older. Expect at least 10% a senior rate and possibly more if you book well in advance.

  • Education-Oklahoma offers state-authorized tuition waivers as well as discounts to senior citizens wishing to educate themselves at its public colleges and universities.   • National Park Service offers lifetime membership Seniors 62+  for  $10,   ($20 online) instead of $80  to national parks, monuments and federal recreation areas  national parks, monuments, battlefields, seashores, scenic rivers, trails and military parks.   Pass holders (and up to 3 adults in the same car) can avoid park entrance fees  and may get a 50 percent discount on some  park-usage fees  such as camping, swimming,  boat launch facilities and specialized interpretive services.    One of the best vacation discounts for seniors. The U.S. has 58+ protected areas operated by the National Park Service.  A Senior pass formerly referred to as Golden Age Passport  gets you into any national park, along with your vehicle load of people if the park charges by vehicle.
