A GIFT OF SERVICE FROM THE HEART

Giving of oneself often costs nothing more than time, yet can mean the world to someone,  just knowing that someone cares.

Presence over presents:

  • sit with someone at the hospital to give a family member a break
  • minister to others who are overstressed and searching.
  • reaching out to an elderly widower on her 4th birthday Norah changed his life           See  Norah and Mr. Dan’s Facebook page
  • let’s remember Valentine’s Day, when the widowed are no longer anyone’s sweetheart and, thus, are now left out of the celebrations. (Listen here around the middle where they start talking about the Veterans who are widowed!  And be sure to look at this)

Matthew 25: 37-40   ….can bring us joy, humility, and freedom.
