Free Berries!

Thunderbird Berry Farm in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma  offers, ‘pick two buckets of berries for the farm and you’ll get a third bucket completely free.’

Call the farm  ahead of time to find out what berries are ripe and when the farm is open for picking.

How to  freeze berries :
1. Lay them flat on a cookie sheet and freeze them first. Do not wash them.
2. After frozen, take them off the cookie sheet and place them in individual freezer bags or containers. This helps you easily remove the amount you need without the berries sticking together. (After thawing the berries, you can wash them.)
